A few months back I had the pleasure of going down to The Great British Grooming Company HQ and meeting the team. On my way out I was kindly presented with a gift set including all the products in their range!
I am always delighted to receive products and was very grateful however there was a problem. I actually don’t have a beard myself. A few years back I gave it a go for a few months but eventually decided to throw in the towel after conceding to the fact that a patchy beard is probably all that my genetics will allow. Inspired by my GB Grooming Co gift I did for a few weeks try and let my beard grow out again during which time I gave the products a go however I didn’t feel that I was doing the products justice. I therefore decided to rope in the help of a good friend of mine Steve Bird.
Now as you will see from the pictures, Steve sports an impressive mane by anyone’s standards and I knew he would be able to give the products a proper review. Speaking with Steve he told me his current routine included a beard wash and balm so he could give a comparative but he was also excited to incorporate new products with the thickening serum and oil.
I caught up with Steve a few days ago to find out how he got on and the results were positive. He told me that he was a big fan of the wash, balm and oil which left his beard “conditioned and smelling great”. With the serum Steve felt that it may not be the right product for him because he already has a very thick beard but he did acknowledge how it could help others with big beard ambitions. Come to think of it maybe I should have persevered with it for longer as it might have helped me with the patchiness…..!
The Great British Grooming Company got thumbs up from Steve and if someone with a beard as impressive as his says its good stuff, then it must be worth a go!
The Great British Grooming Company will be exhibiting at The Gentleman’s Grooming Show 2016. Be sure to check out their stand on the day!
